Nanobrows: Everything You Need to Know

The new microblading but with a flair!

Like everything else, eyebrow trends always seem to be changing. They were bushy in the 80’s, pencil-thin in the 90’s, and today it seems like the trend of bold, defined eyebrows is not going anywhere, and I’m here for it! Every year new techniques for achieving natural-looking, prominent brows are discovered. You might already be familiar with microblading, powder brows, microshading, brow tattoos, but a new star is born – meet Nanobrows! Nanobrows are the form of permanent eyebrows that I chose to work with!

What are Nanobrows?

With the growing trend in beauty, many people are turning to new techniques and treatments. One such treatment is Nanobrows which has just started trending recently with its semi-permanent pigment that does not go so deep under the skin but still offers an attractive look for those who want something more natural-looking than traditional tattooing. Nanobrows or is a newer treatment, similar to traditional brow tattoos. However, this is a semi-permanent treatment, which means that the pigment does not go so deep under the skin, offering faster healing time, and less pain for my clients. It also might mean that the pigment will fade after some time, so you should plan to come to see me when you notice it fading. Depending on your skin type, you should get a few years out of your Nanobrows.

How are Nanobrows Different From Microblading?

Nanobrows are said to be a better version of microblading, even though the final outcome can be similar. Even though the final outcome is similar, there are some differences. Let’s compare the treatments:

MACHINE – The Nanobrow uses a small, handheld machine instead of a blade. The machine does not cut into the skin. Nanobrows are more precise and less painful since microblading uses a blade, which cuts into the skin, which is more painful and takes longer to heal. Nanobrows are less damaging to the skin as the treatment layers color onto the skin instead of cutting into the skin.

PRECISION – Nanobrows are more precise, due to the process used.

PAIN – Nanobrows are less painful than microblading because it causes less trauma to the skin. You will feel nothing! I use medical numbing cream and you will feel zero pain!

HEALING – Nanobrows heal faster than microbladed brows and are not big and ugly in the process. There will be some swelling but usually within a few days my clients are completely healed and their eyebrows are beautiful!

After your Nanobrow treatment your brows will be swollen and darker than the finished look. Don’t let that disappoint you – they will reveal their true color after they are completely healed. In the meantime, you will notice some scabbing and peeling. Don’t peel off the scabs. Let them fall off naturally.

DURATION – Nanobrows last longer than microbladed brows. With regular touch-ups, the lifespan of microbladed brows is 1-2 years, whereas Nanobrows can last up to 3 years.

END RESULT – Nanobrows look more natural due to the process. Make sure you follow all the aftercare tips given.

What is the Process like?

Nanobrows typically require two visits, depending on your skin type. The initial treatment is usually 2 hours long. During our first appointment, we will talk about what you are looking for and you will choose the shape and color. I will map out your brows and show you what they are going to look like.

Once you are satisfied with the pre-draw and shape, I will apply the numbing cream. Then, the procedure starts and the pigment is layered onto your skin with my machine.

After the treatment, you will receive a high-end aftercare kit with tips and goodies to help your brows heal perfectly. Make sure you follow all the aftercare tips given.

Touchup appointments are required between 4-6 weeks after your original appointment date.

Is the Nanobrows Treatment Painful?

We’ve come a long way with numbing creams. This is one of the main questions I get from my clients. I have researched the best numbing creams available. I use only the best agents out there. Since we are a medspa, we use a medical grade numbing.

I put a topical cream on first and I use this cream throughout the service to keep you comfortable. I will use as much as necessary to make sure you feel no pain at all. It really does not hurt at all! I have had some clients that have a very low tolerance for pain confirm that they did not feel pain!

Now that you know the most important information about Nanobrows, let's get you on the books! Everyone loves waking up to beautiful brows that don't need a pencil to fill in every day! Say goodbye to the pencil and hello to beautiful Nanobrows!
