One of my favorite, favorite services to perform is lip blushing. The rewards are just out of this world and my clients really are happy with their results. As you can see by the image below- this procedure produces beautiful lips!
I also have had my lips done and it’s one of the best things I’ve done for myself. I love my lips and the permanent color they now have! I want to share everything there is to know about this service so you can make the best decision!
What is lip blushing?
Let’s get right down to business! Lip blushing is a procedure that can give you a natural tint of color and enhance your natural lip shape. You and I work together on the color, so we can give you very natural lips, or very bold lips! Lip Blushing is a semi-permanent tattoo that gives your lips a boost of vitality and even coloring.

Who is a Candidate for Lip Blushing?
Everyone is a candidate for lip blushing, but there can be limitations. If you feel that you may have limitations, lets talk about them!
If you have a medical condition, it is always advised to consult your doctor prior to booking any procedure or before stopping any form of medication.
Does lip blushing hurt?
Since we are a medical spa, we have access to the best numbing agents on the market! We use a numbing cream on the lips 15 minutes before starting lip blushing and during the procedure to help minimize pain and discomfort. The lower your pain tolerance, the more discomfort you might feel. However, some people may not feel much pain at all.
I always tell my clients not to schedule their appointment during their menstrual cycle, avoid taking in any caffeine beforehand, and do not go to the tanning salon at least a week before their appointment. All of these will make you more sensitive.
How long does lip blushing last?
You should schedule your touch-up for six weeks after your initial lip blush appointment. Your touch-up will fill in any light or uneven spots. After your touch-up, the lip blush will last from approximately two to five years. However it is important to note that everyone’s skin is different, so the time will vary from client to client. Wearing SPF on your lips can extend the color!
Does lip blush make your lips bigger?
Lip blushing enhances your lips’ natural tint and shape, giving them a boost and a glossy touch. It gives the illusion that they’re fuller, but in a very natural way. It does not physically make your lips bigger. We have a lip injection physician for that
What does the lip blush treatment look like?
For your first treatment, you will be in my office for 2-3 hours.
The first thing we do is choose the pigment and the shape of your lips. I then will draw the desired shape onto your natural lips so you can make adjustments and daydream about what your lips will soon look like! After this step, I will apply my fancy, top-of-the-line numbing cream to make the procedure most comfortable for you! The pigment is applied with an advanced tattoo-like machine.
After the healing period is finished, a touch-up is required (6-8 weeks after), in order to correct any irregularities or add more pigment. You can also enhance the color at your follow-up.
